The Apache is based on the original 1960s Burns Marvin model, which was famously developed by Jim Burns in collaboration with Hank Marvin. The original Burns Marvin guitar was commissioned by Hank in the early ’60s after dissatisfaction with his Fender Stratocaster’s tremolo stability. Burns Guitars designed an instrument with a distinctive look, smoother playability, and a more stable tremolo system, leading to its widespread association with The Shadows’ signature sound.

The 50th Anniversary edition remains true to this classic design while incorporating some refinements for modern players. It features a contoured alder body with a stunning White finish, paired with a comfortable maple neck and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The guitar’s signature Rez-o-Matik pickups, designed to replicate the original Burns Tri-Sonic tone, offer the warm, bell-like clarity that defines The Shadows’ music.
