Control and manipulate sound without touch
The theremin is one of the most unique instruments ever made. It allows you to interact, control and manipulate sounds by tracking your hand movements. It is one of few instruments you can control without touch, allowing you to use motion to play the instrument. Building on the success and design of previous Etherwave theremins, this new and modernised version features a refined design including a beautifully-crafted, hand-finished hardwood cabinet.
The internal electronics and components have also been updated, boasting an improved bass response and a higher degree of playability. The theremin features a five-octave pitch range with ultra-accurate, balanced spacing between the notes making it easier to play and maintain notes/tones. The front panel also features a headphone jack (1/4-inch) and a mute button so you can perform and practice anywhere you go.
Shape your sound using front-panel controls
The front panel of the Etherwave Theremin features a range of rotary controls which you can use to shape your sound. Perfect for live performance, the controls allow you to adjust the brightness and pitch range of your sound. There is also a waveform control which provides the means to subtly adjust the overall timbre of your sound. You can control the overall volume of the theremin using the volume control. There is also a front-panel headphone jack complete with dedicated volume control, as well as a mute button.
Use your theremin with your modular gear – CV connectivity
Featuring a range of analog connectivity, the Etherwave Theremin allows you to use the theremin with external audio gear such as modular synths. With 3.5mm Pitch, Volume and Gate CV connections; you can take your theremin performances to the next level, allowing you to control synths and other gear using the theremin. There is also an audio output connection so you can record your theremin performances using an audio interface, a mixer or other audio gear.
