Gibson Flying V Korina 1981

DKK 43900 / Approx € 5895,- Up for your consideration is this beautiful Gibson Flying V Korina Heritage Series from 1981. This is has the lowest serial number we´ve seen: A95 - which makes this one of the very first 100 ever produced! This guitar is in fantastic condition and comes with original case plus all case candy! --------------------------- The information below was kindly lend to us by our friends at: http://www.flying-v.ch/heritage/heritage.htm This is the first reissue to be close to the original 1958 Flying V, they are made out of Korina (a Gibson trade mark for african Limba wood). Gibson came back to the raised plastic molded gold logo although it seems that it actually was silver on the originals). The wings are cut out of 2 or 3 pieces of wood with the veing running parallel to the neck intead of parallel to the edges as on the original 58's. 1981 the Heritage was available in candy apple red and natural finish (mostly white pickguards but a few black), the serial numbers were inked at the back of the headstock, their format was a letter followed by 3 digits : A 034, B 071 etc 1982 Heritage / FF-82 Heritage guitars were available in natural korina and black. The FF-82 was a special serie made specially by the Custom Shop for the 1982 Frankfurt Messe. 100 guitars were produces out of which 80 went to the Germans Gibson Distributor and 20 to the Swiss Distributor (Zenker AG). Another typical feature is the bound fretboard. All were sold CHF 2'500.00 within 2 hours flat. The FF-82 were all produced in Alpine white (with gold hardware). Those bare a Gibson custom shop sticker and the serial number is embossed instead of inked. Actual price varies greatly depending on seller but good examples can be found around USD 1'500.00. 1983, colors were natural, candy apple red, black and white. 1984, only white was available
